Les nuits sonores 2011

In the light of its current exhibition and as a part of the Extra ! program of the well known electo music festival Nuits Sonores 2011, Spacejunk Lyon organised an event on June the 3rd which urges the public to get deaper into the Skateboard culture and in its interactions with Contemporary Art and Music.
During the whole afternoon, the art center wa plunged into a sound atmosphere coming directly from MACBA to Barcelona, the Mecca of the Spanish Contemporary Art and also one of the most famous european skateboard spot.

At the same time, visitors was invited on the side of the artist Nicolas Thomas for realizing a collaborative paintings on old skateboard desks. Children, families, friends .. everybody was invited to join the performance and was able to win the painted desks through a friendly game.

Later, the atmospher changed with the DJ P music sets for celebrating the festival.
